Liverpool have received Mohamed Salah squad boost as the player is back on grass after a lengthy spell on the sidelines, MySportDab reports.

However, there are still uncertainties over his fitness status and likelihood of returning to action soon ahead of the Reds’ next two crucial fixtures.

Salah last played for Liverpool in February 17 in a 4-1 hammering of Thomas Frank’s Brentford. He departed for 2023 AFCON and exited the competition prematurely due to a hamstring injury.

Since the injury, the Egyptian has been the sidelines, missing weeks of action for the Reds, who are still pushing hard for a historic quadruple.

Since his injury layoff, Liverpool have continued on a roaring form, beating Chelsea to win the Carabao Cup, defeating Southampton to book FA Cup last 8 slot, and still leading the race for the Premier League title.

His return will be a major boost to Liverpool who are still grappling with a piling injury problem with the likes Mac Szosboszlai, Allison Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Thiago Alcantara, Stefan Bajcetic and Ben Doak all sidelined.

Salah was spotted on his first full training session with his teammates on Wednesday.

The Egyptian was put through his spaces as he grinds it all to return to full fitness ahead of Liverpool’s double header against Sparta Prague in Europa League round 16 first leg and a potential title-deciding clash against Manchester City at the weekend.

It is still unclear whether Salah will make the lineup against Sparta Prague with reports Jurgen Klopp could rest the prolific ace for the rollercoaster matchup with Man City at the weekend.
