It wasn’t a good feeling for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp after Liverpool crashed out of the 2024 FA Cup, stumbling to a defeat at the death to Manchester United at Old Trafford, MySportDab reports.

Jurgen Klopp’s quadruple-chasing campaign suffered a dent as Manchester United defied the odds to put the Merseyside outfit to the sword at Old Trafford.

Scott McTominay had given the Red Devils the lead in the 10th minute but two quick goals, three minutes apart, by Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah turned the game on its head before the break.

Manchester United needed an 87th-minute low shot from an unlikely goalscorer Antony to peg back Liverpool to a draw and force the game into extra time.

United struck twice in extra time through Rashford and Diallo to cancel out Harvey Elliot’s goal and secure a 4-3 victory over Liverpool.

Klopp’s quadruple dreams came crashing before United’s resilient firepower on Sunday.

After the match, Klopp’s post-match press conference was dramatic. A Norwegian reporter had asked the German about Liverpool’s intensity in the game and he was furious with the reporter, describing the question as ‘dumb.’

“That’s a bit of a dumb question.

”If you see us often, you can ask us the other times why we have so much energy.

”I don’t know how many games we’ve had recently and how many Manchester United have had. That’s sport.

“I’m really disappointed about that question, but you thought obviously it’s good.’

The reporter then added: “So too many games?”

This led to a furious Klopp responding: ‘Oh you don’t think that. Come on!

”You are obviously not in a great shape and I have no nerves for you.” Klopp blasted the journalist and walked out of him with fury.

With the FA Cup loss to United, Klopp has now been pegged down to two more silverware – the Premier League and Europa League – this season after he EFL CUp triumph.
