Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has broken his silence on Real Madrid’s interest on Kylian Mbappe, MySportDab reports.

Mbappe, who is on the last stretch of his contract with PSG, is free to enter into transfer talks with other clubs this January.

He is still strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid, who have been on his trail since 2021.

The Sun reported Kylian Mbappe has reached an agreement to join Real Madrid at the end of the summer but the report was later denied by Mbappe’s camp, who issued a statement confirming Mbappe’s earlier position that he is still focused on PSG.

Meanwhile, there were reports Real Madrid have made a peremptory request on Kylian Mbappe to reach a pre-contract agreement with the club by mid-January or they will back out of the move.

In Mbappe’s statement denouncing report of agreement with Real Madrid, the French footballing sensation said ‘he will not be forced to take a decision on his future’ – in a subtle dig on Real Madrid.

With the back-and-forth of the transfer saga involving the prolific forward, Real Madrid president has broken his silence, conveying the position of the club.

In an X clip, available at the end of this post, Perez was asked on the streets of Madrid whether the club is still interested in signing Kylian Mbappe.

Responding to the question, the 71-year-old made it clear he is still interested in Mbappe and is hoping to bring him to the club.
