Chelsea suffered a first leg loss at the Carabao Cup semi final 1-0 against Middlesbrough, MySportDab reports.
The first half had Cole Palmer missing opportunities that could have easily been a hat trick for him under 45 minutes played.
Hackney goal in the first half was enough to hand the home side a victory which was well deserved after 90 minutes of action.

Both teams came in prepared with so much happening as they wanted to ensure they took the lead knowing it will be a long ride with two leg.
Chelsea dominated things going forward as more of the ball was on their side and Cole Palmer had an opportunity which he couldn’t hit the target.
Middlesbrough shocked the Blues after a counter attack saw them taking the lead through a goal scored by Hayden Hackney in the 37th minutes to make it 1-0.
Palmer had two more glorious opportunities of bringing the Blues back into the game but his finishing was good enough to result in a goal for them.
Chelsea couldn’t make anything much as they headed for the break behind 1-0 against Middlesbrough who did much better in terms of converting.
There was more to play in the second half which both teams pushing to help themselves take the advantage before the next one at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea maintained dominance as the second half carried on with them looking and pressing for an early leveler in the encounter.
Middlesbrough made sure there was no way to break them down despite everything that happened on the pitch which they defended well.
No goal could come as the Blues did everything possible but couldn’t find anywhere to get the goal needed to make the come back.
Middlesbrough ended up celebrating as they claimed a first leg 1-0 victory against Chelsea who couldn’t make anything happen all through.
