Manchester City eased through Huddersfield Town 5-0 to claim a place in the FA Cup next round, MySportDab reports.

Julian Alvarez was available once again to ensure he scored in the absence of main striker Erling Haaland who is still out injured.

Phil Foden was part of the goal scorers with a brace of the encounter which was one-sided all through the 90 minutes of action that went down.

There were enough highlights and talking points in the first half which was wonderful coming from the Premier League Champion.

Huddersfield Town were tasked with an impossible mission of coming into the match to try and see what they could make happen.

It was looking good until Manchester City took the lead in the 33rd minute after a wonderful setup from Julian Alvarez saw Phil Foden score to make things 1-0.

Another goal followed in the 37th minute from a good delivery from Rico Lewis which saw Julian Alvarez making himself available to make things 2-0 as they pushed on.

Manchester City were perfect as they headed inside for a break already with a 2-0 lead against Huddersfield Town who gave it a shot but couldn’t make anything else.

There was a lot more coming from the second half which was another one the away side had to fight with everything possible.

Oscar Bobb scored in the 58th minutes making sure Huddersfield Town went further behind 3-0 as the game continued.

Manchester City added another one again from Phil Foden who make it his brace and 4-0 in the encounter from a goal in the 65th minutes.

Kevin De Bruyne setup Jeremy Doku who was able to finish off making things further behind the away side in the 74th minutes which was 5-0.

Manchester City continued well until the match came to an end with them claiming a 5-0 victory against Huddersfield which sent them to FA Cup next round.
