Arsenal and PSV Eindhoven have settled for a 1-1 draw in their last Champions League Group stage clash, MySportDab reports.

Arsenal went into the game with a big 4-0 win over the Dutch side in the first fixture but faced a tough task taking on an in-form PSV side.

Apart from the 4-0 Champions League defeat to Arsenal, PSV are yet to suffer defeat this season, and have been top of their game in the Dutch League.

They have maintained a perfect record in Eredivisie with a commanding lead on the table.

Hosting Arsenal in Netherlands for a reverse Champions League fixture offered the club another opportunity to prove their abilities at the continental level.

Arsenal started the game in the front foot but struggled to maintain absolute dominance over proceedings.

PSV equally commanded a good possession of the ball but were vulnerable at the back when Arsenal were in the offensive.

It was not long before Arsenal took the lead thanks to a brilliant strike by Eddie Nketiah from inside  the box.

Arsenal took the narrow 1-0 lead into the first half break but struggled in the last 45 minutes of the game as PSV came out battling to nail home an equaliser.

Early in the second half, the home side were able to finally score the equaliser thanks to a powerful strike by Vertessen in the 50th minute.

After Vertessen’s equaliser, both ran short of chances to take the lead but Arsenal came to making it count late in stoppage-time but PSV Eindhoven goalie produced a sensational effort to deny the visitors.

The match ended with both sides settling for a 1-1 draw after the final whistle. With the result, the two sides have qualified for the next round of the competition.
