Barcelona have confirmed the extend of Gavi injury picked up during the international break, MySportDab reports.
The youngster was removed from Spain match after getting involved in a nasty injury which left him in tears.
Gavi arrived Barcelona earlier today and his injury damage have been confirmed after doctor’s examination.
Things are not looking good for the player concerning the results which came back after numerous observations.
It was confirmed after the Spain match that the player could be staying out for a very long time which could affect his career growth.
The injury came during Spain match against Georgia which happened in the 26th minutes forcing his side into make a change.
According to update reaching us from Barcelona and Fabrizio Romano, they confirmed Gavi season is over and he won’t be taking part in Euro 2024.

“The player has a complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and an associated injury to the lateral meniscus.
“Test carried out on Monday morning on the first team player Gavi have shown that he has a complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and an associated injury to the lateral meniscus.
“The player will have surgery in the coming days after which a new medical update will be released.
The news of the player injury have rocked yo camp of Barcelona who are said to have issue a query to Spain national team.
Fabrizio Romano Also Confirmed:
“Gavi has torn his ACL and the meniscus of his knee is also affected.
“He will be out for 7-9 months, his season is over — further tests confirm.
“Terrible news for Barcelona and Spain… get well soon, ánimo Gavi!
The reports are not favorable to both the player club and National who are all going to be without him for a long time.
Gavi career still have a long way to go but many players have gone through such injury and never come back the same.
He added:
“Due to ACL plus meniscus injury, the expectation for Gavi is to be out at least for 7 months but it could be up to 8/9 total months.
“He’s expected to miss Euro2024 too — back for the pre-season 2024/2025.
Gavi won’t be coming back anytime soon as his treatment process will carry on immediately while he will walk through the process of also making full recovery to playing.
