Lauren James shone for Chelsea in Women Super League clash against Liverpool with a sensational hat-trick, MySportDab reports.

Chelsea eased pass Liverpool with a convincing 5-1 win to extend the lead at the top of the WSL table to 6 points thanks to Lauren James goal-haul that made the difference.

James gave her team manager Emma Hayes a reason to reconsider her place in the team as she put up a storm of a display against Liverpool.

Before the game, she was dropped by Emma Hayes from Chelsea 2-2 draw against Real Madrid in UEFA Women’s Champions League but was handed a chance to in the WSL clash against Liverpool and she made it a sensation of a performance.

Lauren James opened the scoring for Chelsea in the first half but it was not long before Liverpool fought back to even the scores with Carter’s own goal.

Before the break, Chelsea fought their way back to the lead with Aggier Beever-Jones breaking the tie again.

In the second half, Chelsea continued with their superior performance and were the better side all through.

It was just a matter of time before they extend the lead.

After marathon of pressure, James rose to the occasion again with two quickfire goals to drown Liverpool comeback hopes and put Chelsea 4-1 up.

Before the match ended, Chelsea compounded the defeat for Liverpool with Nusken’s late goal to make it 5-1.

The win saw the Emma Hayes-led team cruised to a dramatic 5-1 win to consolidate on their lead at top of the table.

Lauren James won the match-ball with her hat-trick as she fired the team to the victory.

She has now taken her goal tally to 4 goals in 6 games with one assists so far this season.
