Nigerian prolific women’s footballer and Barcelona striker Asisat Oshoala starred for Barcelona as the club bundled Benfica women in UEFA Women’s Champions League opener in Spain, MySportDab reports.

Oshoala started from the bench in the game and proved a super and sensational sub as he took Benfica defenses by storm and scored one of the most spectacular goals in the game.

Barcelona got off the mark against the Portuguese side as they went 4-0 up before Asisat Oshoala came in.

After coming on, Oshoala stole the spotlight with one of the most sensational goals of the game.

She dumbfounded the home fans with a brilliant overhead kick to make it 5-0 for the European champions who were already in control of proceedings.

Most striking about Asisat Oshoala’s goal was that she scored the goal with her first touch of the ball after coming on.

Well-positioned inside Benfica box, Asisat Oshoala latched on Hansen’s cross and scored the stunning bicycle kick that wrapped up the win at the half hour.

Oshoala’s goal was the pick of the bunch as her quick decision-making, creativity, and athleticism all tells on the goal.

Hansen’s cross was too low for a header and Oshoala was having her back face Benfica goal. So, she decided with the speed of a reflex to slice the ball into the net pass Benfica goalkeeper with the overhead kick.

Barcelona raced to a convincing 5-0 win over Benfica as they begin their journey to Champions League title defense.

The club’s two Ballon d’Or winners – Aitana Bonmati and Alexis Putellas – scored a brace each before Oshoala dropped the mind-blowing goal.
