Vinicius Jr has agreed a new four-year contract extension with Real Madrid, MySportDab reports.

Real Madrid club statement confirmed the prolific Brazilian winger is ready for a new four-year deal that will see him continue with the Los Blancos till 2027.

The new contract agreement between the two parties ends speculations on the future of Vinicius Jr at Real Madrid following his recent collisions and clashes with Spanish football authorities over what he thinks is lax and tardy response to racism.

Vinicius Jr has been a target of countless instances of racial abuse by opposing fans and has equally been criticized by some top football officials for his gimmicks and overeaction on the field of play.

Despite the frequent tensions and clashes, the Brazil international is ready for a new four-year chapter with the Los Blancos.

Since joining the club from Flamengo, an elite division side in Brazil, Vinicius Jr has created instant impact at Real Madrid and LaLiga.

He has made over 235 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 62 goals, and providing double digit assists as well.

He has won the Champions League, Laliga, Copa Del Rey, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and several individual awards.

His most recent award was the 2023 Ballon d’Or Socrates Award awarded in Paris to honour his humanitarian endeavor and activism against inequality and racial discrimination.

His contract renewal will be welcomed by Real Madrid fans due to his prolific career trail at the club and searing influence since joining in 2017.
