Nottingham Forest’s  and Super Eagle full back, Ola Aina, has been named the Player of the Month for September by Forest supporters, MySportDab reports.

The 26-year-old defender, who joined the club on a free transfer from Torino, has made a significant impact in the current Premier League campaign.

Aina, who can play on both flanks, showcased his versatility by featuring on both the left and right side of the defense this season.

His consistent and solid performances earned him 40 percent of the total votes cast by Forest fans, securing him the Player of the Month award for September.

Despite recently suffering a muscle injury that ruled him out of the Super Eagles’ friendly matches against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique, Aina expressed his delight with his time at Nottingham Forest.

He praised the staff, players, and the city itself, highlighting the positive experience he’s had since signing for the club in the summer.

Aina, who arrived early in the summer transfer window, also mentioned his familiarity with some of his Nigerian compatriots at the club, such as Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis.

Additionally, he was acquainted with players like Morgan Gibbs-White and Harry Toffolo, making his transition to the club smooth.

Reflecting on the challenging games Forest has faced this season, Aina acknowledged that the team has held its own against stronger opponents.

Despite the challenges, he sees the experience as positive, helping the team assess its performance against tougher competition.

Ola Aina’s impressive contributions to Nottingham Forest in September have been recognized by the club’s supporters, who voted him as the Player of the Month. His adaptability and solid displays have made him a key figure in Forest’s current Premier League campaign.
