A late freekick goal from Saudi Arabia saw them holding Nigeria to a 2-2 draw in a friendly match, MySportDab reports.
It was an engaging game between both teams who did so well from their end which was cagey and evenly balance for a while.
The deciding moment was the late goal from Kano which was able to make the game end in a draw for both teams.
Match Report
The first half saw the Super Eagles coming close on several occasions as they saw more of the ball pressing their opponent all through the way.
Saudi Arabia had some moments in the early stages which saw them balancing the scale and pushed to make something happen which unfortunately didn’t come at all.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria were well organized creating more of the opportunities which saw Victor Osimhen blast one over the bar as they pushed on.
A golden opportunity presented itself to Haruna Lookman in the closing stage of the first half, but unfortunately he couldn’t direct the ball past the goalkeeper.
Nigeria were unlucky to have taken the lead or score more goals as they ended the first half with the scoreline staying goalless between them and Saudi Arabia.
The second half was a bit better from both sides who came in with fresh ideas and searched to take an early lead which wasn’t an easy one.
Saudi Arabia took the lead in the 60th minutes which saw Uzoho pushing in a freekick from Al-Faraj which made the scoreline 1-0 as they carried on.
Nigeria pulled back level in the 73rd minutes through an own-goal scored by Amri who was able to ensure the game was 1-1 between them.
A wonderful finish from Kelechi Iheanacho in the 81st minutes made sure the Super Eagles took the lead 1-2 as the match pushed on.
A late freekick goal from Kanno made sure Saudi Arabia ended the match with a 2-2 result against Nigeria which could have gone the way of the Super Eagles.
