Alexander Isak scored the only goal which sent Manchester City out of the Carabao Cup 1-0 against Newcastle United, MySportDab reports.

Both teams managed everything so well that the first half didn’t provide anything of a goal that could have lighten things up.

Pep Guardiola side were dealt with a massive blow which saw them crashing out of one competition early in the season.

Both teams were well secured in the first half which saw so much coming from them as they fought with everything in their capacity.

Newcastle United were heavily involved in play which saw them doing well enough to earn every right of scoring a goal if they were clinical enough.

For Manchester City, it was a case of dominating play as expected which saw them doing more of the pressing than defending their goal as it carried on.

They couldn’t be anything to separate both teams who continued pushing from both ends with opportunities but yet nothing came through moving forward.

Newcastle United held Manchester City to a 0-0 goalless scoreline after 45 minutes which saw them doing well enough but unable to make anything happen.

The second half was another 45 minutes that both teams carried on with more in the tank fighting for the opening goal of the match as they progressed.

Manchester City were in no rush from their end as they tried to manage things while trying to catch their opponent sleeping with their defending.

Newcastle United scored the lead in the lead in the 53rd minutes of the match which saw Alexander Isak getting the needed goal which made it 1-0.

They were some opportunities which came but nothing could come through from all of them which saw the game entering 80th minutes.

Manchester City ran out of time as Newcastle United beat them 1-0 to send them out of the EFL Carabao Cup 3rd round game.
