The prolific Danish striker is joining Manchester United on a five-year contract till 2028 and will headline United’s top 9 role in the upcoming season.

Erik Tek Hag beat the competition from the likes of PSG who also submitted an offer for Holjund but stood no chance as the Danish striker instructed his agents to pay attention to offers coming from Manchester United.

Holjund already agreed personal terms with the Red Devils and was eager to join Ten Hag’s project at Old Trafford.

Much will be expected from the fast-rising youngster as he joins Manchester United for another exciting chapter of his career.

Holjund has been compared to Erling Haaland with his threats in the final third, ball carrying capacity, pace, good positional skills, and great shooing skills.

Here Is What Hojlund Said:

“It is no secret that I have been a fan of this great club since I was a small boy, and I dreamed of walking out at Old Trafford as a Manchester United player.

“I am incredibly excited by this opportunity to turn that dream into a reality, and I am determined to repay the faith that the club has shown in me.

“It is still early in my career, but I know that I am ready to make this step up and play with this group of world-class players.

“Once I had spoken to the manager, I knew that this environment would be perfect for my development; I am relishing the opportunity to work with one of the best coaches in the world.

“Under his guidance and support I know that I am capable of achieving great things together with my new teammates at this special club.

He joined Atalanta from FC Copenhagen and had recorded 9 goals in 32 Serie A appearances for the club.

He has scored 6 goals in 6 appearances for Denmark national team and will be hoping to replicate his prolific goal-scoring stats at Old Trafford.
