Spain advances into the semifinals of the FIFA Women’s World Cup after beating the Netherlands 2-1 in extra time, MySportDab reports.
Salma Paralluelo scored the winning goal which was able to help her side make it through into the next round of the competition.
Maria Caldentey and Stefanie Van der Gragt both scored in the match which were the goals that held the game to extra time.

Both teams had their moments and their control at a point in the first 45 minutes which saw them canceling themselves out goalless.
Spain came in good after dispatching their round of 16 opponent with ease and coming into this one looking to make something more.
The Netherlands were well organized and did as much as possible pushing with hopes of getting the opening goal which did not happen for them.
Esther Gonzalez scored in the 37th minutes but it was called back as VAR chopped off the goal which the first half ending goalless 0-0.
They came into the second half with a much better approach and something good to enable them make a difference going forward.
Spain and Netherlands were unable to make anything happen with the game moving fast hitting the 70th minutes and still goalless.
Maria Caldentey scored from the penalty spot which was able to see the scoreline turned 1-0 in the 81st minutes as they both carried on.
The Dutch Women leveled things 1-1 with a beautiful goal scored by Stefanie Van der Gragt in the 91st minutes of additional time as they continued.
The 90 minutes ended with Spain 1-1 Netherlands as their next action carried on into the extra time which was wonderful for them.
They played on with a lot happening from the extra time which was still evenly balanced between them.
Salma Paralluelo was able to score in the 111th minutes which saw the scoreline turned 2-1 with Spain running away with the victory and advance into semifinal.
