Manchester United a re closing on a move for highly-rated Tottenham left-back Sergio Reguilon, MySportDab reports.
Sergio Reguilon has emerged as a shock transfer target for Manchester United who are looking for a left-back to replace injured Luke Shaw.
United lined up a list of options to replace Shaw who is set to spend time on the sideline following his injury blow.
On the list of Man United’s replacement options was Marc Cucurella but a shock twist on the Cucurella move has a made a deal unlikely with Manchester United running out of time.
The Red Devils have been in contact with Chelsea for Cucurella but reports reaching us from multiple sources say the two clubs are not likely to reach an agreement for Cucurella before the transfer window closes.
Now, Manchester United have been forced to turn their attention to Tottenham’s Sergio Reguilon as a perfect option to stand in should a deal for Cucurella fails to go through as things stand.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United are advancing speedily o the move for Sergio Reguilon and are more likely to close a deal with Tottenham for the player as soon as possible.
The report adds Manchester United have contacted Tottenham Hotspur for Reguilon and the London club have granted Sergio Reguilon permission to travel to Manchester United and have his medical as talks for his loan move continue.
As things stand, it is more likely Man United will ditch Marc Cucurella loan move and focused on talks with Tottenham for Sergio Reguilon.
