Manchester United are set to table a second offer for highly-rated Atalanta forward, Rasmus Hojlund, MySportDab reports.

The Red Devils have been on the chase of the prolific youngster as they prepare for the 2023/24 Premier League campaign.

They submitted a first £30m bid for Rasmus Hojlund which was turned down by Atalanta.

The Serie A club are ready to part ways with Rasmus Hojlund but at the right offer.

Now, according to the Sun, Manchester United are ready to increase their bid for Rasmus Hojlund from £30m to £40m.

Erik Ten Hag is eager to land the 20-year-old prolific forward as he seeks to bolster Manchester United attacking options next season.

Last season, Rasmus Hojlund scored 9 goals for Atalanta in Serie A while he nudged in a total of 10 goals in all competitions.

Elsewhere, Manchester United have recorded their first signing this summer after signing Mason Mount from Chelsea for £55m.

The club are also in talks with former goalkeeper David De Gea to, who is now a free agent, to renew his contract.

They are also eyeing Inter Milan goalkeeper, Andre Onana as a replacement if the deal with David De Gea does not go through.

According to reports, Manchester United are cash trapped due to Financial Fair Play rules and are left to spend only £65m more having expended £55m on Mason Mount.

Hence, the club have to rationed the amount at their disposal optimally on prime targets this summer to avoid collision with Financial Fair Play Rules.
