Manchester United kicked off their preseason with a convincing 2-0 victory against Leeds United, MySportDab reports.
Mason Mount played a huge part in the encounter which saw him giving his best for the club he recently completed a move in.
Goals from Emeran and J. Hugill was enough to ensure the Red Devils sealed an impressive victory in their preseason.
First Half Report
The first half of the game was one which both teams did well enough as Mason Mount made his appearance for the Old Trafford club.
Manchester United had control of the game as they pushed forward in numbers trying to make something happen very early in the encounter.
Leeds United were well balanced and control everything happening on the pitch to make sure they have a fighting chance against all odds.
Some wonderful opportunities came begging but none of both teams could make anything happen as the scoreline stayed goalless entering the 40th minutes.
The match was cagey and couldn’t provide any goal with Manchester United settling for a 0-0 scoreline against Leeds United after the end of the 45 minutes played.
Second Half Report
The second part of the game was exciting as both teams came in stronger and looking to make some difference to their play.
They continued with the same team as they did in the first half which saw Manchester United still bossing the play and looking to take the lead.
Leeds United held on fine hitting the 60th minutes mark with the scoreline still staying goalless between both teams who had to make some little changes going forward.
Noam Emeran scored a beauty in the 67th minutes making the scoreline 1-0 for the Old Trafford club who finally saw their efforts paying off in the encounter.
J. Hugill scored in the 80th minutes to make the score line 2-0 from yet another wonderful goal which doubled the advantage.
Manchester United ended the match making sure they claim a victory beating Leeds United 2-0 in their opening preseason friendly match which was entertaining.
