Manchester United and Chelsea have a scheduled talks to thrash out the impasse on Mason Mount deal, MySportDab reports.

Manchester United have submitted rounds of bid for Mason Mount with the latest bid of £55m being tuned down by Chelsea.

After the rejected bid, Manchester United are understood to have looked for alternatives for Mason Mount while blasting Chelsea strategy in the move.

Manchester United sports director John Murtough was particularly furious with Chelsea’s gesture towards Manchester United bids and was reportedly set to back off from the deal.

Following the transfer deadlock, Chelsea is understood to have called for face-to-face talks to possibly thrash out the differences between the two clubs and broker a deal for Mount.

Now, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the two clubs are set to meet for talks on Mount deal with the date of the proposed talks confirmed.

“Understand Manchester and Chelsea are prepared for direct contact this week to make final decision on Mason Mount deal.

“Direct club to club talks will take place within the next 24/48 hours to understand how to proceed.

“Man United £55m bid remain valid but not forever,” Fabrizio Romano says.

MySportDab understand Manchester United are still interested in Mason Mount deal but may likely be forced to look elsewhere if the transfer deadlock with Chelsea lingers.

Mason Mount has already agreed personal terms with Manchester United and is ready to join the club this summer but Chelsea must sanction the move before it can happen as the England star still has a year remaining in his Chelsea contract.

Mount is clear on his future; he doesn’t want to sign a new contract with Chelsea and wants to leave this summer or leave as a free agent after next season.
