Chelsea have returned for Jules Kounde amid Barcelona unrest with the defender, MySportDab reports.

The France International was expected to join Chelsea before the move was forced and he ended up staying in Spain.

Barcelona completed a move for Jules Kounde who is now considering leaving with Chelsea already making their interest known.

The Premier League side have once again been linked with the France defender following their failed move last summer.

The player is set for discussions which have now been held regarding his future with Barcelona.

Xavi Hernandez has held conversations with Jules Kounde over his future amid renewed ties with Chelsea.

The Blues were vigorously linked with a move for the defender last summer as new owner Todd Boehly attempted to bolster the Premier League side defence.

In the end, Chelsea were beaten to the punch by the Barcelona who completed the move despite everything that was done by the Blues.

The Spanish side signed the centre-back for a fee of €55million from rivals Sevilla, despite a higher bid coming from the London club.

His contract was signed for five years which is now looking like it could come to an end immediately due to the difference from both parties.

According to the reports reaching us from Spanish outlet SPORT, Jules Kounde requested for a move elsewhere as he isn’t feeling comfortable with his position.

There are also other clubs interested in making a move happen this summer and they are monitoring the whole situation going forward.

Manchester United and Manchester City are also in the race but all parties will wait to see how the situation goes when the season comes to an end.

Chelsea signing Jules Kounde could be difficult knowing they won’t be playing European football next season after failing to finish in the top half of the table.
