The report confirms Lionel Messi did not took the trip alone to Catalonia but was accompanied by his entourage and representatives.
It was also confirmed his family members did not travel with him but he carried about 14 luggages to Catalonia during the trip.

His signed a two-year contract with the club which will expire at the end of the summer.
PSG and Lionel Messi have been involved in contract renewal talks but no progress has been recorded so far.

The Mirror reports Lionel Messi is set to leave PSG at the end of the season and PSG are no longer bent on renewing his contract.
Hence, the ‘surprise flight’ to Barcelona as reported by Sport is Messi’s preparatory for his PSG exit.
Meanwhile, Barcelona have confirmed contact with him and want him to return to the club.
