Finland Entrepreneur Thomas Zilliacus have submitted a new bid for Manchester United, MySportDab reports.

The Old Trafford club have been put on the market for a long time as the current owners are looking to make a sale happen.

There has been a lot of bid and offers which have been submitted already after a deadline was given by the current owners.

It is claimed that Zilliacus wants to buy half of Manchester United with the purchasing of the other half by fans of the club.

He is one who will be involved in the club’s decision-making process alongside the fans if a deal is able to pull through.

Interested parties had until 21:00 GMT on Wednesday to put their bids, but the deadline was extended as the owners feels they could still get more bids.

Thomas Zilliacus is hopeful he could get the deal to work on his favor as he was able to outline some of his offer and how he could run things.

Here Is What He Said:

“Any sport club ultimately should belong to its fans. My bid is built on equality with fans.

“The current development, where billionaire sheiks and oligarchs take over clubs and control them as their personal playgrounds is not a healthy trend.

“The current market value of the club is just under $3.9bn (£3.17bn).

“That means that if every one of the fans of the club would join in buying the club, the total sum per fan would amount to less than $6.

“My group will finance half of the sum needed to take over the club, and will ask the fans, through a new company that is being set up for this specific purpose, to participate for the other half.

There is yet any decision made by the owners who are also debating on whether to sell the club or part shares of the club.

The Manchester United fans have also made it obvious that they don’t want the Glazers family anymore as they are not doing enough for the club.
