Phil Foden’s medical condition and matches to be missed has been confirmed, MySportDab reports.

Phil Foden is said to have complained bitterly of a sudden stomach problem while with Gareth Southgate’s Euros 2024 qualifiers squad.

He was set to make the team that will take on Ukraine in the second match after victory over Italy but had to withdraw from the squad and was hospitalized in London.

England’s statement confirmed Phil Foden will not be available for the match against Ukraine after going under the knife for an appendix operation in a London hospital.

Now, Manchester City have issued a statement confirming Phil Foden’s medical condition after he underwent the surgery for an appendix.

The club confirmed Phil Foden will miss Manchester City’s blockbuster clash against Liverpool due to the surgical operation.

They also added they are yet to figure out how long Phil Foden will take in his rehabilitation in the medical facility.

“Phil will now return to Manchester to begin rehabilitation. He will not be fit for this weekend’s Premier League game at home to Liverpool and it is unclear at this stage how long he will be unavailable for,” Manchester City club statement reads.

However, there are speculations Phil Foden may likely miss Manchester City’s double-legged tie against Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals and may likely have to race against time to feature in Manchester City’s FA Cup semifinal clash in April.
