Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed a shock move on Premier League officials after Manchester City charges, MySportDab reports.

The Premier League slammed Manchester City with a number of charges bordering on breaching Premier League financial fair play rules due to their spending.

According to reports, if City fails to come out unscathed from the charges as alleged by the Premier League, they may likely face a hefty fine, ban from the transfer market, points deduction, or relegation into the lower division of English football.

After the allegations by the Premier League, Pep Guardiola insisted on the innocence of the club, blaming other Premier League clubs for witch-hunting the team.

According to him, he has spoken with the club’s hierarchy and has been convinced the club is innocent.

Pep Guardiola has also complained bitterly of the unfair treatment of the club by the Premier League officials in addition to the charges pressed against the club for breaching financial regulations.

In the 1-3 win over Arsenal in the Premier League, Guardiola was incensed by Ederson 36th-minute yellow card for wasting time, saying other teams are not always penalized in similar circumstances.

When asked whether he has reached out to the Premier League over what he thinks is unfair treatment of City, Pep Guardiola said he has severe ties with the Premier League, following their accusations and doesn’t care.

”I don’t talk with the Premier League, we are accused by them. No referees, no Premier League, no care.”

In case of unfair treatments which he would preferred to draw the attention of the Premier League officials, Guardiola has used the Manchester City’s faceoff with the Premier League to justify his decision to ‘cut communications’ with Premier League officials.

Following charges pressed against City by the Premier League, Manchester United City have hired a renowned UK lawyer to their defense with Guardiola solidly behind the club.
