Tears As Top Turkish Football Star LOST In Turkish Earthquake! (Details)

Another top football star has been lost in Turkish Earthquake amid search and rescue operations, MySportDab reports.

South Eastern Turkey and some parts of Syria were struck with a massive earthquake which swallowed up tall buildings and facilities, reducing many infrastructures to rubble.

A number of victims reaching over 2000 has reportedly died in the incident, with about 6,000 already confirmed injured.

Number of casualties are expected to rise as the search and rescue operations continues with Turkey emergency response swinging into action.

The international community have also send logistical support to aid the rescue operations.

Popular Ghana international and former Chelsea star Christian Atsu was among the victims trapped in the rubble, but has been reportedly found, rescued and hospitalized.

Another top football star of Turkish descent, Ahmed Turkaslan, is still confirmed missing in the rubble after the earthquake.

Turkaslan plays for Yeni Malatyaspor as a goalkeeper and was reportedly lost to the rubble with rescue operations ongoing.

There were early reports he has died in the rubble, but the report was denounced by the Yeni Malatyaspor President Haci Ahmet Yaman, who said the club is hoping to locate and rescue the shot-stopper as the rescue operation continues.

Yen Malatyaspor assistant coach Ä°lhan Var said: ‘We have not found our goalkeeper Ahmet Eyup Turkaslan yet. There are no signs right now. His wife came out and described where he could be, but he is still yet to be found.”

As at the time of filing this report, rescue operations to rescue the missing goalkeeper is still ongoing with hopes he will be found alive.
