Manchester United book their Carabao Cup final ticket after easing past Nottingham Forest 2-0 and 5-0 aggregate, MySportDab reports.
Jadon Sancho made his comeback to playing for the Old Trafford club after his long absence from the team over the past few games.
First Half Report
The first half of the game wasn’t one which both teams had enough opportunities of making something count or happen.
Manchester United did enjoy a lot of the ball moving forward but it wasn’t so easy for them making something happen in terms of scoring goals.
The game carried on with Nottingham Forest also pushing from their end to ensure something reasonable comes through which did not.
They both continued to push against each other looking to make something of a goal happen but it wasn’t working out either from both of them who had few chances.
Manchester United couldn’t make anything happen as they were held 0-0 in the first half against Nottingham Forest who were brilliant in their defending.
Second Half Report
The second half was a different showdown which had the home side making sure they finish off the job they started in the first leg.
Nottingham Forest were still very solid in their defending as the game carried on with them ensuring nothing went past them hitting the one hour mark.
Manchester United took the lead in the 73rd minutes through a wonderful finish from Anthony Martial who was able to make the scoreline 1-0.
Another goal wasn’t far away this time from Fred in the 76th minutes which made the job done and dusted with scoreline 2-0.
Nothing else materialized in the match as they continued to push until it ended with Manchester United claiming a victory against Nottingham Forest which puts them in the final of the Carabao Cup against Newcastle United.
