Chelsea dealt with another huge blow as Borussia Dortmund beat the Blues 1-0 in the UEFA Champions League, MySportDab reports.
The Blues have all to do in the second leg which will happen in England in the coming weeks which they have to win by all means possible.
First Half Report
Both teams had it good in the first half which saw them going close but couldn’t make anything happen all through the 45 minutes.
Chelsea started well in the match as Thiago Silva scored in the early minutes but unfortunately he used his hands which landed him a yellow card.
Borussia Dortmund were the better of both teams who saw more of the ball and pressed with everything they had going forward but they failed to make it count.
Joao Felix with another one in the match which beat the goalkeeper but unfortunately the ball hit the woodwork denying the Portuguese a goal in the game.
The first half ended with Borussia Dortmund 0-0 Chelsea as they both had to head inside for the break with nothing to separate them despite all the chances.
Second Half Report
The second half was a bit different with the home side doing more than enough from their end to ensure everything go in their way.
Chelsea were still sluggish in the match which saw some changes coming to play at a point in time due to the team unable to make much things happen.
The game pushed on with Borussia Dortmund gaining more control as they became more dangerous against the Premier League side who stood no chance.
Karim Adeyemi scored in the 63rd minutes after a quick play from a counter saw the youngster finishing off to give his side the lead 1-0 as the match carried on.
The away side were wasted all through until the match ended with Borussia Dortmund taking the victory 1-0 against Chelsea who have all the work to do in the second leg.
