Top investor and business mogul Elon Musk is reportedly planning a shock bid for Manchester United takeover, MySportDab reports.

The Twitter owner and multi-million dollar investors is reportedly monitoring the situation at Old Trafford.

The Glazers’ set a mid-February deadline to entertain offers seeking to buy shares from the club or outright take over.

They are reportedly keen on keeping to the deadline and are not ready to extend it.

The Sun reports potential bidders have been asked sent in a summary of their bids, not more than a paragraph, on or before the Friday deadline.

Leading the race of those indicating interest in taking over the club is British business man and a Manchester United fan Sir Ratcliffe.

However, reports have also emerged a group of Qatari investors are interested in taking over Manchester United and may likely overtake Sir Ratcliffe when launching their bid.

The Glazers’ are valuing Manchester United at £6bn, and the group of Qatari investors may likely launch the biggest and strongest bid for the club as things stands.

Now, reports from  Daily Mail have confirmed the race to take over Manchester may take a drastic turn with Twitter owner and world richest investor Elon Musk reportedly interested in buying the club.

After Manchester United fans pressed for the Glazers’ to leave the club Elon had jokingly tweeted, “Also, I’m buying Manchester United ur welcome.”

According to Daily Mail, sources close to the Elon Musk have disclosed he is monitoring the situation at Old Trafford and may likely launch a bid for the Old Trafford club in few days.

Elon musk’s net worth is estimated at £157bn and could easily foot the £bn price tag set by the Glazers’ for the club.

His entry into the race will be a game changer with the Qatari group of investors also set to launch a bid.
