Chelsea are still insisting on landing highly-rated Benfica star Enzo Fernandez despite Benfica stance of not selling the player, MySportDab reports.

The Blues are reportedly keen on landing the World Cup winner and have submitted a new crazy offer, including a player swap.

Enzo Fernandez World Cup heroics brought him into the spotlights of European clubs, who were keen on signing the youngster.

Enzo Fernandez won the Young Player of the Tournament in the 2022 World Cup after starting all games, and helping Argentina win their first World Cup trophy since 1986.

Among other clubs that were keen on signing the 21-year-old, Chelsea were frontrunners in the race, hut have had their bids for the midfielder rejected.

Benfica placed an overbloated £106million price tag on Benfica, and wanted a lump sum as forward payment or full payment from Chelsea.

The move was to deter the interest of Chelsea from the player with the Portuguese outfit hoping to keep him at the club.

With few days remaining to the close of the transfer window, Chelsea have reportedly awaken their interest in the midfielder.

According to football.london, Chelsea have made another bid in the region of €100m (£87.8m), including a swap deal with some unnamed players to sign Enzo Fernandez.

Meanwhile, Benfica are yet to respond to this new offer by the London club with the transfer window winding down.

So far in this summer , Chelsea have spent a whooping £405m on new signings under new owner Todd Boehly.

Some of the club’s signings this month include Mykhaylo Mudryk, Joao Felix, Noni Madueke, Benoit Badiashile, David Datro Fofana and Andrey Santos this month.
