Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette has revealed that they have the chance to save their season tonight in the FA Cup final, MySportDab reports.

An eighth-placed finish in the Premier League and Europa League exit means it’s only the FA Cup left for Mikel Arteta’s side.

The Gunners are keen to play Europe League football next season with a win tonight.

Lacazette said: ‘We are happy because we can save our season with a trophy, which means a lot for both us and the fans.

‘We finished in a bad position in the lost, we lost in the Europa League against Olympiacos early, so yes we missed our targets. That’s why this would save our season.’

About the Europa League Final loss against Chelsea in 2019.

‘It was I think the worst trip I have ever had,’ Lacazette added.

‘No one could talk. It was a very long flight, really quiet. After you lose a final it’s hard to talk with someone or laugh. Everybody was disappointed.’

Cup victory will also bring an end to a poor season for the France striker.

He has scored 12 goals, the worst in the last seven seasons.

He was disturbed by an ankle injury which kept him out for two months and later lost his place as Arsenal’s central striker.

‘It was I think the most difficult season of my career,’ he said.

Lacazette is yet to win a single trophy since his £52m transfer from Lyon in 2017.
