Brazil and PSG forward was in tears, denying his last World Cup appearance decision, as Brazil crashed out of the 2022 World Cup, MySportDab reports.

The former Barcelona star could not hold it as he burst into tears after the last penalty kick against Croatia.

Brazil were tipped as favorites to win the competition, with the quality paraded by the team into the 22nd edition of the tournament.

The Selecao opened their World Cup campaign on a good note, winning against Serbia. They also won the second game against Switzerland before losing the last match to Cameroon.

However, they qualified with 6 points from the group and faced South Korea in the quarterfinals. They eliminated the South Koreans with a 4-1 win to set up a quarterfinal clash with the 2018 finalists – Croatia.

It was a tense match between both sides, but Brazil had more possession of the ball, and we’re more threatening going forward.

The Croatians held their breath and dragged the Selecao to a 0-0 draw after full 90 minutes of play. The match went into extra time.

Neymar scored for the Selecao, but Petkovic equalized for the Croats to take the game to a penalty shootout.

Brazil lost 4-2 to the Croatians to crash out of the tournament as Croatia made it to their second successive World Cup semifinal.

Neymar was in tears after the last penalty miss, with fellow teammates trying to console him.

As confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, Neymar has reversed his decision that the 2022 World Cup would be his last World Cup.
