In the final against France, Lionel Messi bagged a brace and scored his penalty to help Argentina lift their third World Cup trophy.
Already, his Instagram post lifting the World Cup trophy has garnered over 55million likes to emerge as the most-liked post by a sportsperson on social media.
His second post has generated much reaction in the social media space.
The PSG forward dropped a post of him sleeping with the World Cup trophy on his bed. Slides of the post on his Instagram page show him kissing and smiling with the trophy still on his bird.
