Youssef En-Nesyri only goal ensured Morocco break World Cup record by advancing to the semifinals beating Portugal 1-0, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half of the encounter was incredible coming from the Moroccans who did everything in their power fighting all through with all they have to offer.
Portugal started well dominating play as it was expected of them to do going forward as the match progressed with them creating more opportunities but couldn’t score.
The game continued with Morocco doing all in their power to keep themselves from going down as they also did have some goal scoring opportunities which didn’t result in anything good.
The goal finally came in the 42nd minute of the game which saw Youssef En-Nesyri raising above everybody including the goalkeeper to head the ball inside the net to make it 1-0.
That goal send the stadium into a frenzy as the first half Carried on and came to an end with Morocco taking a 1-0 lead into the break against Portugal after 45 minutes of football between them.
Second Half Report
The second half was heated between both teams who did more than enough to make something happen for themselves as the match carried on.
The coach of Portugal had to bring in Cristiano Ronaldo to make sure they are able to come back into the game which didn’t happen at any point for them with so much more happening.
Morocco went on survival mode knowing the rest of Africa hopes rest on them to make sure they advance which will mean a lot for the continent as the encounter is concerned.
The game continued with Walid Cheddira getting second yellow card which saw him being sent off as the match continued with the Moroccans playing with one man down.
The match ended with Morocco making the impossible by being the first African country to reach the Semifinals of the FIFA World Cup beating Portugal 1-0 after 90 minutes.
