Manchester United’s planned contract renewal talks with Marcus Rashford has suffered a setback ahead of the 2022 World Cup, MySportDab reports.
The Red Devils is reportedly keen on securing the future of Marcus Rashford, set to expire at the end of the season.
This summer, there were reports of interest from French Ligue giants Paris Saint-Germain.

Now, Man United is reportedly set to begin contract renewal talks fo ward off interest from rival clubs.
The England star has only eight months remaining on his £200,000 weekly Man United contract.
There is a one-year extension clause to his contract, and Manchester United are planning to either renew the contract or trigger the one-year extension clause.
This is to commit the future of the youngster to the club, as he will be free to open talks formally with other clubs if Manchester United are not making any move.
However, Manchester United will be facing an impasse in the bid to renew Rashford’s contract, Daily Mail reports.
The World Cup starts on 20 November, with Rashford set to make Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad.
This will make it impossible to begin contract renewal talks before January 1, 2023, deadline.
As things stand, the Red Devils will now have to trigger the one-year- extension clause to buy time ahead of January 1 to fend off interests.
Just a day before his 25th birthday, Marcus Rashford reached a century of goals for Manchester United, scoring a winning header against West Ham.
Erik Ten Hag sees Rashford as central to his plans and is hopeful of renewing a deal with the England star.
