Marcus Rashford scored a brace as England beat Wales 0-3 to finish number one ahead of round 16, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half was evenly balanced between both teams in the early minutes but it later carried on with the Three Lions dominating the whole play going forward.
Wales did well enough as the match started with them pushing hard and looking to make something happen for themselves in the encounter which was heated.
Marcus Rashford had a golden opportunity of giving England the lead at a point but Danny Ward made himself big enough to stop the Manchester United man from scoring.
The game continued with more opportunities but it didn’t look too good as nothing could be capitalized by any of them despite all the opportunities they had going forward.
The first half ended with Wales holding England to a 0-0 goalless first half after 45 minutes of football which saw them both heading inside for the break.
Second Half Report
The second half was brilliant as the Three Lions finishes up the job which they couldn’t complete in the first 45 minutes of the encounter.
England took the lead in the 50th minute of the game through an outstanding freekick which curled in beating the goalkeeper to make the scoreline 0-1.
Wales did not have any reply and also couldn’t hold on for long a Phil Foden made it 0-2 in the 52nd minute of the game teaming up with Harry Kane who the assist.
The match continued with Marcus Rashford making the lead 0-3 in the 68th minute which saw Kalvin Phillips coming on to make the assist for the Manchester United man to finish off neatly.
The encounter came to an end with England claiming all three points after the 0-3 win against Wales which also see them finish as number one with seven points.
