Cristiano Ronaldo missed Manchester United’s training today ahead of Sunday’s match against Fulham, MySportDab reports.

The 37-year-old also missed Thursday’s Carabao Cup 4-2 win against Aston Villa due to illness.

That was the first time he won’t be in the squad since his return after the Chelsea 1-1 draw in October.

He started each of United’s last four matches before Thursday’s game, meaning he could have gotten some rest.

However, illness kept him out of the squad and the same thing for Jadon Sancho.

Speaking about Ronaldo after the Aston Villa win, Coach Erik ten Hag said: “I’m not sure that he will return for the Fulham game but he was ill, he can recover from that.

“It’s not a serious illness, so he could be available for Sunday and in the squad.”

However, Ronaldo did not arrive at Carrington this morning for training before tomorrow’s game.

Anthony Martial returned in the Cup match and scored to help United with the match, which means he could lead the attack against Fulham.

Martial is no doubt United’s first-choice striker under Ten Hag, despite his injury problems this season.

He has got four goals and provided two assists in only six matches.

Meanwhile, Antony and Jadon Sancho arrived at Carrington on Saturday morning, and could play at Craven Cottage tomorrow.
