Sadio Mane limped off just 20 minutes into the game, and it has been confirmed this morning in viral updates that the Senegal international will be ruled out of the tournament.

Sadio Mane was expected to be a key member of the Senegal 2022 World Cup squad and has been with the team through the qualifiers.
Mane will be missed by Senegal and the entire African contingent to Qatar with the quality, speed, and strength he brings to bear on-pitch.
Mane led the Senegal national team to the Africa Cup of Nations trophy and was expected to replicate the same feat going into the World Cup.
He is the current African best player, and the injury is a severe blow to the Senegal national team – one of the strong African contenders to Qatar.
Senegal is in Group A of the 2022 World Cup alongside host Qatar, Netherlands, and Ecuador.
They will kick off their World Cup campaign against European giants the Netherlands on November 21.
Senegal were tipped by pundits to qualify from the Group alongside the Netherlands, given the quality that is in the team.
As things stand, the African champions have lost a top and prolific striker, which may likely affect the chances of the team in the group and the tournament as a whole.
