Bayern Munich have resumed talks to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United, MySportDab reports.

The Bavarians had an interest in signing the five times Ballon d’Or this summer but later backed off, saying he didn’t fit into the club’s philosophy.

Another turn-off was the Bavarians’ interest in Sadio Mane as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

The club later signed Sadio Mane for £35milliion from Liverpool and shoved the move for Cristiano Ronaldo, who was intent on Old Trafford exit.

According to Daily Mail, Bayern Munich have resumed talks to sign Cristiano Ronaldo amidst concern over the fitness of Sadio Mane and Choupo-Moting.

Representatives of the club reportedly flew into England last week to meet with Cristiano Ronaldo and his agent Jorge Mendes.

The news of Bayern Munich’s interest comes when Cristiano Ronaldo must have likely shut himself out of Manchester United with his explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

The Portuguese star alleged betrayal by Manchester United in his second spell in the club and criticized the mishandling of the club by the Glazers.

He also added that he doesn’t respect Erik Ten Hag since the latter has not respected him either.

It is believed that Ronaldo knew the consequences of the interview, hence the timing of its release.

Some fans have called for the termination of his contract, given the extent of disrespect he has done the club with the interview.

With the January transfer window fast approaching, Ronaldo may likely exit the club after the World Cup, and Bayern Munich can be his next destination if the talks go through.
