The renowned California-based tech giants are said to be interested in a possible £5.8billion takeover deal.

Apple had not got involved in any acquisition deal involving a sports club, and Manchester United will be their first adventure into investments in sports.

According to reports, if Apple takes over the ownership of Manchester United, the deal could be the most costly acquisition of a football club in history.

It will surpass the 4.25billion deal which Todd Boehly paid for the acquisition of Chelsea from the previous owner, Roman Abramovich.

Apple CEO Cook is now be among the list of top individuals that are interested in buying the club, with the likes of Elon Musk, and Conor McGregor, and Jom Ratcliffe all interested.

Apple is said to be valued at a whooping £2trillion, and a takeover of Manchester United by the tech giant could witness an immense transformation of the club.

The Glazers are reportedly expecting bids from £5billion to £8billion from potential bidders, and Apple are reportedly interested in a £5.8billion deal.
