Manchester United have now made a decision about the future of youngster Alejandro Garnacho, MySportDab reports.

The Red Devils have already started negotiating a new contract for Alejandro Garnacho with his representatives.

Garnacho has a contract at United until 2025, but reports claim his deal could expire next year.

Sources believe that United are happy with Garnacho’s progress despite the length of his existing contract.

The youngster made his full debut in United’s 3-0 Europa League win against FC Sheriff on Thursday.

Garnacho has developed very well in 2022, and even got called up to the Argentina squad, scoring seven goals in six matches and travelling on the pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia.

United Coach Erik ten Hag barely played Garnacho on tour and his only game was during pre-season came in the friendly against Rayo Vallecano.

Now, Ten Hag said he started Garnacho in the Europa League after his better attitude in recent weeks.

“I liked the performance from him,” Ten Hag said.

“He did what I wanted. First, he deserved to play for the last weeks.

“The start to the season was difficult for him. But, over the last weeks, I was happy with him and his attitude.

“And you can see the talent he has with the ball in tight areas, to run behind and complete his tempo dribbles, he can take on players and that’s a good attribute in his football.

“I am happy, I hope he knows I have to do better to get into the team, to create more chances and always remember to play for the team.

“Young kids must grow and raise their personality. They have to know what demands are in football, top football, it’s not only about tricks or scoring.

“We have to win matches, that demands a lot and then you must maintain the high standards, that is what we have to teach.”
