The English Football Association has now charged Liverpool Coach Jurgen Klopp for his recent pitch behaviour, MySportDab reports.

Klopp got a red card from referee Anthony Taylor after protesting that Mohamed Salah should have gotten a free-kick during a battle with Bernardo Silva.

The German was waiting to discover if he would be charged before Wednesday’s match against West Ham.

However, he now has until Friday to respond back to the FA Charge.

A statement from the FA read: “Jurgen Klopp has been charged for breaching FA Rule E3 following Sunday’s Premier League game between Liverpool and Manchester City.

“We understand that the Liverpool manager’s behaviour in the 86th minute of the game was improper and he must respond before Friday.”

Klopp admitted it was one of too frustration that caused his reaction during the tempestuous victory.

“I explained after the match, at that time you could not change my mood. No chance,” he said.

“The whole game led to that moment. It was a very, very intense game with many decisions not understood by both managers.

“For me, I’m not happy with my reaction but it happened and everybody saw it.”

Klopp revealed he spoke with referee Anthony Taylor after the match and discussed everything.

He added: “I spoke to Anthony Taylor after the game, completely calmly, about it all.

“My view of the game, he’s view of the game. It was a calm discussion. I got a red card and now we wait and see.”

Klopp will still be on the touchline for Liverpool’s match against West Ham on Wednesday night.
