Victor Osimhen marked his return with a goal as Napoli seals their qualification into the round of 16 with a 4-2 win against Ajax, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half of the game saw the home side dominating things while going forward with hopes of them taking an early lead in the game.
Hirving Lozano opened the goal scoring in the 4th minutes which was a quick one coming from Napoli who took the lead in a good fashion as they continued with scoreline 1-0.
Ajax were left unable to gain control of things as another goal followed in the 16th minute which was scored by Raspadori who made the scoreline 2-0 as it carried on between the two of them.
The game carried on with nothing else happening despite all the opportunities that was created between them for the encounter which entered the last stages of the half.
The first half came to an end with Napoli taking a 2-0 lead going forward in the game against Ajax after 45 minutes of football played between both teams for the evening.
Second Half Report
The second half was flooded with a lot of goals coming through as both of them were able to make something happen.
Ajax pulled one goal back in the 49th minute which saw Calvin Bassey providing the assist for Davy Klaassen who was able to finish off and make it 2-1.
Another goal was scored in the 62nd minute from Napoli which saw Kvaratskhelia converting a penalty that gave his side a 3-1 lead as the match carried on.
An 83rd minutes penalty from Steven Bergwijn made things 3-2 as the visitors were doing everything possible to comeback which wasn’t looking good enough to happen.
Victor Osimhen put the hammer to the coffin in the 89th minute of the game after an outstanding goal from the Nigerian made it 4-2.
The match came to an end with Napoli beating Ajax 4-2 and also sealed their place in the round of 16 with them having two games left to be played.
