Portugal has been defeated 1-0 by Spain in the UEFA Nations League courtesy of Morata’s 88th-minute strike, MySportDab reports.

The first half began with both teams trying to get something out of the game as the game progressed.

It was more of a balanced game with both teams trying to tactically the other, all to no avail as the game continued.

Spain had a slew of chances when charging down the final third m but could not convert them, with Portugal’s defense making reasonable efforts to ward off attacks.

Portugal also created a series of chances in the game but was unable to convert them, as they missed a whole lot of them.

The game continued with the scoreline standing at a 0-0 draw as none of the teams could not find the back of the net.

The first half ended in a barren draw as both sides went into the break without finding the back of the net.

The second half began with a similar pattern as the goal deadlock could not be broken.

However, there was improved play from both teams as they tried to find the back of the net. The hosts lost possession to the visitors but could contain them in their box.

Portugal equally made attempts at a goal, but missed the chances, as they become less clinical in the front.

The game drones on still standing at 0-0, drawing it the most of the second half, almost coming to an end.

Morata finally gave the visitors the lead in the 88th minute as the game finally ended with Spain grabbing all three points.
