Erling Haaland has been named player of the month of August after his fine start to the Premier League season, MySportDab reports.

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is the player of the month for August as he got the highest of all votes to claim the award.

The Norwegian is the first player to win the award for the Premier League 2022-23 season having beat all other nominees who are on the list.

Throughout the month of August, Erling Haaland played in 5 matches for Manchester City which was an easy one for him.

He scored 9 goals in the process of playing all the five matches for Manchester City in August.

Erling Haaland completed a move to the English Premier League in the just concluded summer window after a long speculations.

He was linked with so many team’s in England which he ended up picking to join Manchester City who didn’t spend too much on his move.

The deal with Borussia Dortmund was around €80 million despite how it was during last season which was over that stated amount.

Chelsea once place over €100 million and a player to force a move in 2021 but Borussia Dortmund turned it down immediately.

Erling Haaland is doing so well in the Premier League despite how many people seems he might struggle to hit the ground running.

Aside winning the Premier League player of the month, he is also the leading goalscorer with 9 goals in just five games gone.

He continues to set records and he will be looking to win the golden boots in his first year in England which isn’t an ordinary feat if he manages to keep it up.

Erling Haaland will be handed his award which is hopefully the first of many to come for the striker who is just getting started with his career.
