Manchester United now are close to reaching an agreement with Ajax on a €100m deal for winger Antony, MySportDab reports.

The Brazilian has been a priority signing for Erik ten Hag’s plans at Manchester United.

After over one month of negotiations and bids, the two clubs are now close to an agreement.

Antony has already said he wants to leave Ajax, and the Dutch side are now ready to sell the 22-year-old.

Ajax Coach Alfred Schreuder wants the player to stay and told the club board but a lot has changed over the last few days.

Talks are now progressing after the Dutch club finally decided to negotiate, which comes after a board meeting yesterday.

United’s £76m bid on Friday got rejected and the Dutch champions won’t sell the 22-year old for less than €100m.

However with Antony begging to leave, Ajax have now decided to sell him as United prepare a new bid of €100m.

The Red Devils are now working on the structure of the deal which could include an £77m initial fee upfront plus add ons over the next few years.

United could reach an agreement with Ajax within the next 24 hours.

Antony has been training alone for almost two weeks now, and refused to be part of the squad.

He has missed Ajax matches against Sparta Rotterdam and Utrecht.

At Ajax, he scored 21 goals in 74 matches for the Dutch club.
