Bruno Fernandes gave his side the lead against Southampton in the 55th minute of the game, which was thanks to an assist that came from Diogo Dalot to make it 0-1.
The game continued with Cristiano Ronaldo and Casemiro coming in for the remaining minutes to be played in the encounter, with the Red Devils still in the lead as things continued.
