Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain have both been confirmed holding talks for the move of Presnel Kimpembe, MySportDab reports.
Presnel Kimpembe is being eyed by Thomas Tuchel, looking to work again with the France international. They both worked in Paris Saint Germain.
Chelsea is not yet done in the transfer market as they are looking to make more moves in the defensive department, which has them needing to fill up two more spaces.
Since the departure of Kurt Zouma to West Ham United, the Blues have been unable to find a replacement which saw them nearing an agreement for Jules Kounde, but the deal collapsed.
Since then, they have been no new signings in terms of defenders, as Trevoh Chalobah was introduced into the senior team that season after his impressive performance during preseason.
They saw no need to go into the market for a new defender, as Thomas Tuchel insisted, but they have now lost two of their best defenders this summer to Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Chelsea is now working to make sure they find the perfect replacement for both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, who couldn’t extend their respective contracts.
The Blues already completed a €40 million move for Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli while trying to sign Nathan Ake from Manchester City.
According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, he confirmed talks between Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain are ongoing for a possible agreement for Presnel Kimpembe.
Here Is What Was Said:
“Paris Saint-Germain has Gonçalo Inácio as one of the options in their list if Presnel Kimpembé leaves; Campos appreciates him.
“Negotiations on between Chelsea and PSG for Kimpembé.
“Chelsea has re-activated contacts for Koundé; Barça wants to be fast.
Presnel Kimpembe could become a Chelsea player in the coming days if an agreement is reached between both clubs holding talks.
