FT: Nurnberg 3-5 Arsenal, Gabriel Jesus Bags BRACE On Arsenal Debut! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Arsenal has kicked off their pre-season with a dramatic 8 goals thriller against Nurnberg, MySportDab reports.

First Half

New signing from Manchester City Gabriel Jesus made his debut for the Mikel Arteta side.

It was a dramatic match with the Gunners conceding two quick goals in less than 6-minute intervals.

Geis and Duah scored in the 24th and 29th minute, respectively, to give the German side a surprised 2 goals lead.

Although mounting intense pressure on the less brilliant Nurnberg side, the Gunners could not find the back of the net throughout the first half of the game.

They went into the break trailing Nurnberg by 2 goals

Second Half

The second half began with a more planned and good tactical display by the London-based club.

Nuremberg’s defence was under intense pressure as Arsenal kept making their into the box easily.

The efforts yielded results in the 47th minute. Nketiah assisted new signing Gabriel Jesus to register his first goal for the Gunners.

Elneny gave the Gunners an equaliser 10 minutes later, providing Mikel glimmers of hope.

The Premier League side continues to dominate the game, with the scoreline being 2-2.

A 59th-minute own goal by Schindler was a tiebreaker. The gunners went ahead with a 3-2 scoreline.

9 minutes later, another own-goal by Handwerker made it 4-2 for the high-pressing Arsenal side.

Schleimer scored for Nurnberg in the 73rd to restore hopes of coming back into the game.

2 minutes later, Gabriel Jesus buried the match with a goal to give the Gunners a comfortable lead.

Mikel Arteta escaped a shock defeat running away with a 5-3 win in his preseason opener.
