Neymar Jr has stirred controversy after what appears to be an embarrassing dive after challenge with an Osaka defender, MySportDab reports.

PSG are set to complete the preseason of UAE and has engaged top clubs for preseason friendlies.

The French Champions faced Gamba Osaka in their latest match and were already coasting to victory from the first half.

The first produced a surprising five goals, speedily within 45 minutes into the game.

Gamba Osaka was no match for the star-studded PSG side parading the likes of Messi, Mbappe, Neymar and others.

The French Ligue 1 side was already four goals up, with Osaka pulling back a consolation goal before the end of the break.

Nuno Mendes, Neymar, Messi and Pablo Sarabia were all on the score sheet as PSG humbled Osaka in the first half.

Neymar converted a penalty to double PSG’s lead, but how the penalty was awarded has continued to generate controversy.

A viral video has indicated what appears to be diving from the Brazilian international before the penalty was awarded.

From the video, Neymar could be seen feigning a fall after a challenge with an Osaka defender in the box.

The controversy is generated after the video showed that there was minimal contact between Neymar and the Osaka defender.

The referee went ahead and awarded a penalty despite protests from some Osaka players.

Neymar converted the penalty and scored, but fans have slammed the 30-year-old for such a pretence.

PSG ran away as 6-2 winners scoring two goals more in the second half.
