Barcelona President Laporta has revealed his position on Lewandowski deal, MySportDab reports.

There has been speculations on a possible deal between Barcelona and the Polish striker.

Lewandowski had made it clear to Bayern Munich that he will want to try a new club in the coming summer.

 

He further stated that he will not want to sign a new deal with the German giants but will consider the interest of the Bavarians when offers are made.

The former Borussia Dormund forward is said to have chosen Barcelona as his preferred destination if he departs from Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, Barcelona who are embroiled in a series of financial problems are eager to sign Lewandowski.

Lewandowski still has a year remaining in his Bayern Munich contract and the German Champions are not ready to sell the 33-year-old.

Meanwhile, Barcelona have submitted a bid for the player and it is yet unclear whether Bayern Munich will accept it or not.

According @FabrizioRomano, Bayern President has insisted that Lewandowski is still a Bayern Munich player.

He also disclosed that that Barcelona has made a bid for the player and are yet to be responded to.

The 33-year-old is one of the most decorated and invaluable player on the Bundesliga.

Lewandowski has featured 46 times for Bayern Munich in all competitions. He has scored 50 goals with 7 assists.

In the 2021-22 Bundesliga campaign, he has scored 35 goals in 34 appearances with 4 assists.

Lewandowski joined Bayern Munich from Borussia Dortmund in 2015 and still has a year remaining in his contract.

It is now left for the Bavarians to accept bids on his head or lose the striker as a free agent after next summer.
